Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Why is The Cat Game recommended for ages 16+? I haven't seen anything adult-related within the game and the game is simple, so much younger people could play it.

A:

Dear Canada,

I looked at some reviews of the game and the only reason I could see the suggested age being so high is that some of the categories would be hard to guess for younger audiences. I've played some old trivia games and I didn't know any of the movies, celebrities, or pop culture references; so it's possible the age is 16+ so that everyone playing will understand the references. Your other possibility is that the person in charge of rating board games hates cats with a burning passion and decided he had to protect the children of America from those sinister felines.

Peace,

Tipperary
