Dear 100 Hour Board,

I am planning to go to the openhouse in March, but I don't think I can wait that long to find out the answer to this question... the suspense is killing me!

When I was little, I LOVED escalators, and when my parents told me they had escalators in the Jordan River Temple, I concluded I was going to get married in that temple so my husband and I could ride the escalators together. But alas, I am still single.

So... when they remodeled the Jordan River Temple, did they remove the escalators, or are they still there?

-Need to know if my dream is crushed

Dear you,

Google reveals that the escalators were changed with stairs, unfortunately. But the Seattle temple still has escalators! I really enjoy them.

And I disagree with anyone who tries to say that stairs make a more doctrinal analogy. As if we climb all the way to heaven by our own power! There's something beautiful about literally being lifted closer to God's presence.
