Dear 100 Hour Board,
What is the worst movie that you love unironically and why?
-Inverse Insomniac
Dear Inverse Insomniac,
So I take it you don't want to hear about bad movies that I like precisely because they are bad. That's kind of unfortunate because the Martin Gates version of The Wind and the Willows is incredible.
I absolutely love Matilda with my whole heart. It's not really a movie that gets ridiculed that much so maybe this is a safe pick compared to, say, National Treasure. However, I know a movie critic who hates Matilda so I know it's at least a little bit controversial.
-Sheebs
Dear you,
Both National Treasures and Pacific Rim.
~Anne, Certainly
Dear friend,
Labyrinth will always have a special, mildly concerning place in my heart. Also, if you've never seen Rubin and Ed, that movie is a trip. I'm not sure if I like it unironically or not but my aunt told me before I watched it that it's a movie you never forget, and I'd sure say that.

Dear II,
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist makes me laugh so hard I cry nearly every time I watch it...and that's a lot of times.
-Petra
Dear Inverse,
Robin Williams' Popeye. So many people think it's so dumb, but I love it so much. SO MUCH.
-Olympus
Hello Kitty,
Monte Carlo starring Selena Gomez.
Oh wait, I thought you said BEST movie.
-M.O.D.A.Q.
Dear Inverse,
Mulan 2 gets such a bad rap (it literally has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes) but I love it so much. It has adventure. It has songs. It has most of the original cast. It's just amazing.
I'm also slightly obsessed with Annabelle's Wish. I just have a lot of childhood memories associated with it so I watch it at least once on my own, once with my students, and then again with whoever I can convince to come and watch it with me every Christmas.
-Ms.O'Malley
Dear Victor,
National Treasure, yes, but also The Tourist and Jumanji (the new one). National Treasure because I love Riley Poole, and the other two just because I think they’re fun!
-Az
Dear Inverse,
Tora! Tora! Tora! It's got a 55% on Rotten Tomatoes and everyone else in my history class who saw it fell asleep, but I loved every minute.
-El-ahrairah
Inverse,
Dudley Do-Right.
Also possibly Star Wars. Let's be honest.
Babalugats
Dear,
The Mummy (The Mummy Returns too, but not the 3rd one).
