Dear Mabel's Ex-boyfriend,

It'sa me, Quixotic Kid, and this is the most awesome and terrifying experience of my life so far! I'm so excited to be one of the all-knowing souls that are entrusted with answering any and all questions. Though, I am still on probation, so we'll see if I make the cut.

Things to know about me:

  • I like music a lot. Like maybe too much. I could (and do) listen to music all day, pretty much every day. This constant stream of music is interrupted only by friends, family, and the occasional podcast.
  • I'm an English major, but don't worry. I have a plan.
  • I really like plants, cool looking rocks, and thinking deep thoughts about stars and our galaxy.

That should be just about enough for now, I think. Rest assured, more tidbits about my weirdness will come out in the fullness of time.

Dear "Norman",

Hello!

Who is Guesthouse?? Good question. I don't totally know myself, but here are some basics:

-I'm a Statistics major

-I have an (unhealthy?) obsession with Coldplay, but I'm also an unabashed lover of 80s music and contemporary piano solos.

-I watch A LOT of documentaries (It's normal to hear David Attenborough narrating your life, right?).

-I love philosophy, true crime podcasts, hiking, and Kid President videos.

-If you wanna be my friend, you can bring me cinnamon rolls. This is not a joke.

That's about as much as I can think of right now! I'm super excited to answer anything you happen to throw my way. Like Quixotic Kid said, I'm sure more information will come to you with time.

I'll just leave you with the poem that inspired my 'nym and is my mantra for life (found here, or abridged in Coldplay's "Kaleidoscope"). If there is anything I could leave with people, it's a reminder that every day of your life is a wonderful new opportunity. Regardless of if you have a good day or a bad day, you can learn from your experiences and be grateful for the chance to be alive!

Cheers,

Guesthouse
