Good Omens trailer that just got released: thoughts?

-I'm not a fan of Aziraphale's casting for some reason but whatevs

Dear Aziraphale,

Oh my goodness, I am so excited! Something that I'm super happy about is--judging from the trailer--it seems as though the show will stay faithful to the book (and movies straying from books is one of my biggest pet peeves in life). I'm actually not familiar with the actor playing Aziraphale, but I couldn't be happier that David Tenant is Crowley. And of course I'm waiting with bated breath to see how Adria Arjona portrays Anathema (though she definitely possesses a kind of traditional beauty Anathema does not).

And that about wraps up my thoughts... sorry I apparently can't go on for pages on this (I feel like in a weird way, I'm not living up to the character of my 'nym).

Dear You,

I am SO excited that Good Omens is finally getting more of the recognition that it deserves! Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are brilliant and funny and engaging writers, and their collaborative works really shine. Of course Pratchett passed away in 2015, but it looks like Gaiman helped write all the episodes for the mini-series, and was on-set for all the filming, so that should definitely help make sure it stays true to the spirit of the book (and like Anathema, it bothers me when movies don't follow the books they're supposedly about, so Gaiman being there to make sure they stay true to the book is great news).

It's interesting that the min-series seems like it will all be from Crowley and Aziraphale's perspective, almost as sort of a buddy comedy, but I think it will be really good.
