Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Have you seen Three Wives, One Husband? It's on Netflix. It's a very interesting, compassionate, and non-judgmental documentary about a community of fundamentalist Mormons. Whatdyall think?

A:

Dear You,

I have indeed seen it! I don't have much to comment on except that I agree that they took a pretty good, compassionate documentarian-type approach to it. It's good to get information out about the lifestyle for people who have questions, but I do still think that it's one of those things we as members of the Church will never really be able to shake and say 'no, it's just the fundamentalists that are still doing that.' I'm sure there are plenty of people who may have watched that documentary and still think it's just the "Normal Mormons" who are involved.

I also thought it was nice to get a glimpse into the lives of people who are living like that in a way that doesn't necessarily try to make it look awful since it was also part of our history as well. Gives you a bit more insight into the kinds of things that inform our past, which is cool

Cheers,
