Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I got a written warning for speeding in Utah. How long will the warning be on my record?

-Devon Barber

A:

Dear Devon,

A warning (verbal or written) does not go on your official driving record, you won't be fined, and you won't receive any points against you. However, the cop would have had to document the stop for police records, so it will be in their system as a warning. If you are pulled over again for speeding in the future, they will have your warning on record and will therefore issue a citation for the next offense.
