Dear 100 Hour Board,

I'm in the middle of a Parenthood binge. Just curious, why did the actress, Sarah Ramos, leave the series? I understand that Haddie, her character, goes to college across the country, but why did the actress leave? I feel like the show used that plotline to write Sarah out of the script.

Dear Biggest Fan,

From what I was able to find, Sarah Ramos herself never explicitly said why she left Parenthood, and the show's directors have been similarly tight-lipped. However, in this interview Ramos says that after her character was sent away to college across the country in Parenthood, she herself "was in New York at Columbia for those three seasons of the show and then I graduated as it ended." So my guess is she asked to be phased out of the show so she could focus on her studies at Columbia, where she majored in creative writing.
