Q:

Dear fellow writers,

What would you chose for your last meal? I would go with Aloha Plate cause it would be enough calories to last me to the afterlife. I'm really interested to know what y'all would choose.

Morbidly,
Tipperary

Dear Tipperary,

The Black Sheep Cafe's green chili Navajo taco and then some Rockwell ice cream from next door for dessert. I'd also want to bring my family and best friends with me. Then we would play Quiplash and Drawful and snuggle. That would be a good end.

Dear Tipperary,

I worked at Aloha Plate for a semester. I never want to eat Aloha Plate ever again in either life or death. That place is terrible (though I'm not talking about how tasty the food is).

I would want my last meal to be a copy of my family's traditional Christmas breakfast: finnan haddie, cinnamon twists, fresh fruit, kielbasa, and John Wayne eggs with juice, milk, and sparkling cider to drink.

Dear Tipperary,

My mom's biscuits and gravy, fresh pressed apple juice, warm perfect cinnamon rolls, sliced peaches, and a Zupas turkey bacon avocado panini.

But thanks for making me super hungry.

Cheers,

Dear Tipperary,

You thinking about this because you're a murderer? You're acting awfully suspicious lately...

But I would want my last meal to be pot roast, the fluffiest mashed potatoes, fresh peaches, roasted vegetables, homemade rolls, and cherry pie. OR, going in a totally different direction, maybe lamb vindaloo?

Fun (but actually not fun at all) fact for you: Texas, which is one of the states with the highest execution rate, doesn't allow inmates on Death Row to choose a last meal. They used to, until 2011 when someone requested a hugely extravagant last meal, and then didn't eat any of it. Apparently Texas took that to mean that they shouldn't provide a last meal for anyone, and everyone who's been executed there ever since has just had normal prison food for their last meal.
