Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board Ladies (and maybe the guys, hey)

I got one of those do it yourself laser hair removal thingies and was all set to go. Then I read the directions that said not to expose the treated areas to sunlight for 4 weeks after. I'm not supposed to go in the sun for a month??? Has anyone ever done this themselves? What was your experience?

Alia

A:

Dear Ail,

It appears as though none of us have any experience with this (or if any of us do, we haven't spoken up about it).

It seems like you're simply supposed to make sure that clothing is covering the treated areas whenever you're out during the day for 4 weeks. Meaning you'll still be fine to go outside and enjoy some sunshine so long as you're wearing the right clothes.
