Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I want to cut my hair, because I think it looks nice when it's shoulder length. The problem is, I know that if I do it, I won't be able to wear my hair up in a bun anymore... it's a dilemma I have pretty much every year. I'm also probably getting married soon and I'm not sure if I want long or short hair for that...

In your opinion, is long hair or short hair better? Should I get it snipped or wait for a while?

A:

Dear Rapunzel,

I would base your decision to cut your hair whether you want long or short hair on your wedding day. I don't know how long your hair is compared to shoulder length. But if you cut it and can't grow in back in time by the wedding, I'd refrain from cutting it until you know for sure you want short hair. (How soon is soon concerning getting married?)

Another thing to consider is what hairstyle you'd like on your wedding day. Up or down? Since you won't have as many options if you have it shorter, you'll just have to get more creative.

An additional option is to wear extensions if you want it short now, but long later. The possibilities!
