Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What is the unit of currency that you see on the ads surrounding the programming tutorial content at geeksforgeeks.com? Is it some kind of cryptocurrency used in programming circles or is it the money used in Tibet or Bhutan or something? The site seems to use American English (e.g. specialize, center, color were all seen on that site) written with good grammar.

A:

Dear Frank,

That's the symbol for the Indian rupee. I thought maybe the domain was registered in India, but turns out it's an Australian site. Sadly, I have no more time to investigate why Australians decided to write a website in American English with ad listings in Indian rupees. It's a mystery for the ages, I guess.

Best,

Josefina
