Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I live in Wyview and my carpet stinks; particularly around the beds. Any thoughts, suggestions, or tips?

Dear Glade,

My first thought was to put some baking soda on the carpet and then vacuum it up after several hours, which is also what this WikiHow article suggests first. Baking soda has worked for me before to get rid of smells, but if that doesn't work, the article gives some other suggestions as well.

Sincerely,

Cerulean

Dear Glade,

Uh.... use Glade? Haha. They make a linen & carpet cleaner, it's a powder that smells delicious that you pour around on the carpet, leave for a little while, and then vacuum it up (See Here). I've used it in the past and it works REALLY well.

If it's worse than what carpet powder can solve, you might look into shampooing your carpets... that will be harder since you'll have to find a shampooer, but it should solve the problem.
