Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

Is there a way to transfer money out of Cougar Cash? Even if it's just to my BYU tuition account, it would be helpful to be able to use money from participating in research or winning BYU contests for something other than the bookstore and food.

Thanks,

jefferson airplane

A:

Dear Jefferson,

Here is a list of places that take cougar cash and this is the FAQ page I got it from. If worst comes to worst, you can buy books or other items for people and have them pay you back, or something similar.

Dear Airplane,

Inklings gave you some good ideas of what to do with your Cougar Cash. He also linked to an FAQ that has the answer to your question. The short answer is, no, you can't transfer money out of your Cougar Cash. The long answer is, yes, you can transfer money but it costs $10, takes at least a week, and you get it as a check, all of which is very unhelpful.

So yeah, go rent a Dutch oven at Outdoors Unlimited, or get your coat dry-cleaned at BYU Laundry, or print a giant poster of your favorite band at Cougar Creations, etc.

Sincerely,

Cerulean
