Dear 100 Hour Board,
Oh, what do you do in the summertime when all the world is quarantined?

I've had the same question this week. I don't hear officially until April 24th, but it's likely that the internship I was supposed to do this summer will not be happening, so I have been contingency planning. If my internship doesn't happen, I will probably take classes in the Spring term and then just take a break during the Summer term, which means I will be at home without anything structured to do. I've been fighting the part of me that feels like I need to be super productive with my summer BECAUSE I DON'T. These are completely unforeseen circumstances. Honestly, it might be a good time for me to figure out what the heck I want to do when I graduate.
Dear Popcorn Popping,
Try to train my new puppy! We just got a Golden Retriever puppy a few weeks ago, and she's wonderful. Her name is Penelope, but we call her Penny or any other variation on that (my favorite nickname for her is currently Pen Pal), and she's real energetic and real cute. Luckily puppies have to sleep a lot, or it would be far harder to take care of her. She can definitely be a handful, but honestly she's such a good dog. She's only 10 weeks old and is already doing a GREAT job with potty training, and she knows a handful of basic commands that she follows pretty consistently. We're working on leave it and drop it right now, and hopefully she picks up on those fast for the sake of our shoes and couch cushions, which she currently tries to chew on every chance she gets. She's incredibly friendly and LOVES to meet new people and dogs while we're walking her, and is overall just a big sweetheart.
I can't figure out how to rotate the last photo so you can see her cute little smile in all its non-sideways glory, but you get the idea.
Oh, what do you do in the summertime when the world is quarantined?
Oh, what do you do when corona blooms and covid's an infectious disease?
Do I spend my days sewing face masks? Do I attempt to go outside?
Or do I watch Netflix 'til my eyes dry out as I pray I don't sicken and die?
I long for the day when I'm not afraid to see crowds simply pass me by
But until then I'll play minnow's ps4 all day and try not to lay down and cry.
But in reality - minnow and I traveled to my parents' home for a few weeks, things got worse so we extended our stay by two months, we postponed our wedding until next summer, and we're trying to figure out when we should go back to LA because we both can't work from home in a tiny studio apartment.

The same thing we do every night Popcorn- try to take over the world!
