Q:

Dear Josefina,

We're birthday twins! We obviously know today's the best day of the year, but how should we also convince the general populace?

Also, what's a memorable birthday you've had? What did you do this year?

Dear Ardilla,

Happy belated birthday!!

Personally, I think our birthday is obviously really excellent, as far as days go. But if the people of the world aren't going to admit it right away, we'll just have to... let them entertain that belief, I guess.1

This year was very low key, since I'm back in Texas at my parents' house. It's been a few years since we've all been living at home, so it was really nice to just hang out with them, play some games, and eat key lime pie. Plus, I got to call and catch up with some good friends of mine, which is always pleasant.

And because I love embarrassing myself on the internet, I'll give you the short version of my most memorable birthday: I moved about a month before my fourteenth birthday, and my newest friend, Minnie, decided she was going to put together a birthday party for me and invite all of the kids in the ward. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling all that great at dinner time, and by the time I arrived on her doorstep, I had just enough time to ask for a bag, get sick on her driveway, and then drive home to wait out whatever nasty bug I had. Sad day. But my little sister still went to the party, and they sang to me over FaceTime when it was time for cake.

On the bright side, Minnie still wanted to hang out after that, so that's how I knew at fourteen that I had a friend for life.

Anyway, that's enough storytelling from me. Thanks for asking!

Best,

Josefina

1Sike. Obviously, we take over the world. You know when.

Dear Ardilla,

Tipperary and I are also birthday twins AND we now share a birthday with Goldie Rose's son so our birthday is clearly superior.

Love,
