Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

What are your favorite weird animal facts? Any animal, any fact, maximum weirdness possible!
Mine is that there's a couple species of bats that have a little ski mask made of skin they can pull over their faces. They even have little furless patches where the eyes are so they can see light/dark when the mask is up! The best part, though, is that no one knows why

Dear Podcast Peruser,

I hope you've seen this youtube channel: zefrank1

Also, I will never not recommend TierZoo.

My fact is that mosquitos have 47 teeth, especially in light of this comic.

Dear Double P,

So, I dunno if this is news to anyone besides myself and Carl. BUT, I didn't know that mosquito eaters/mosquito hawks don't ACTUALLY eat mosquitos.

They're called crane flies!

Dear Huldah,

Sloths float because their stomachs are filled with so much gas. About 30% of their total body weight is from fermenting leaves, so they're just cute little air bubbles floating around the Amazon River.

Dear seer,

Here is where all those NatGeo Kids that I read as a kid come in handy. Here are some of my favorites from "Weird but True."

  • Dragonflies can see in all directions at once.
  • Food passes through the giant squid's brain on the way to its stomach.
  • A snail can crawl along a razor edge without cutting itself.

Sincerely,

Cerulean
