Dear 100 Hour Board,

Does anyone have any suggestions for some free (or very cheap) video editing software (for Windows)? Obviously, you often get what you pay for, but I'm looking for very little. I want to be able to take multiple videos with my phone and then splice them together and add some extremely basic effects, like fading in and out, or putting some text on the screen. The fewer advanced features to confuse me, the better. Thanks,

Dear obviously,

It doesn't look like any of us have any recommendations. I would suggest going to Google and searching "best free video editing software for Windows" or "simple free video editing software for Windows."

Why don't I do the research and then come back to you with my recommendation, you ask? Well, I don't want to be responsible for potentially recommending a software that may contain a virus.

Happy video editing.

DaVinci Resolve. There is a free version.
