Q:

Dear cool kids,

I was awarded a half-tuition scholarship for the 2021-2022 semesters, and while I am incredibly grateful for even that much help, I'd love to find more financial assistance if I can. I'm currently in the second semester of my sophomore year and I'm in the statistics department (if that makes a difference). Do you have any recommendations as to resources to look at for more scholarships, either in or out of the university officially? Thank you!

A:

Dear friend,

Most departments have scholarships that they can offer specifically to their own students! Pebble has gotten half covered by the academic scholarship and the other half covered by the Math department for the last 2 years. I'd go talk to the stats department and ask for more information. Most of the time, the deadline for department scholarships is slightly later than the school deadline so you still have time to send in an application.
