Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

As a freshman who will be going on a mission come summer, what are my chance for getting on the board? Does that even matter? Would I be able to resume my answering upon my return? I ask because I love to write and saw the creativity of some of the responses.

A: Dear Third question of the day,
Well, because you're leaving doesn't automatically mean we'd deny considering you. But once you've departed the BYU bubble for a time, your spot can generally be filled in the meantime and you might not get it back, depending who the editor is at that time and how many writers there are as well. So my guess is to say that if you want to write, you'd better apply just in case and enjoy it if you can. That is, if we accept you. Contrary to popular belief, just because you apply doesn't mean your automatically accepted. We do have an application for a reason. Good luck!!!
