Dear Victor & the 100 Hour Board,

In regards to the question about the Book of Mormon in Pidgin/Pigeon (http://theboard.byu.edu/index.php?area=viewall&id=13492) I know there are at least a couple samples out there of what that would be like. You might contact Professor Eddington in the Linguistics department; he showed an example (nephi 3:7) in class a couple weeks ago. Pretty funny stuff. I can't find it online, though this site's pidgin version of Hamlet's "to be or not to be" is pretty funny (as is their cockney bible): http://www.geocities.com/Axiom43/writings.html.
As far as pidgeon goes, I have a pidgeon friend named Raoul who has been working on a translation for years. Be patient; once he figures out the pidgeon equivelant of the word Nephi, it won't be long ("coo-coo" can only convey so much.)
