Q:

Dear 100 Hour Board,

I'm really interested in photography, but not brave enough to try to major/make a living out of it. I keep finding photographer's websites who do families/engagement photos, etc, and I think that'd be a really fun side job/hobby. My question is: where can I learn how to do that? I have a pretty good eye for framing, but I'd really like to learn about lighting and editing. I don't think I can take the class here, but are there any good community/adult education classes you know of?

A: Dear wannabe,

I've been waiting a long time to get a DSLR so I can start taking some fun classes. UVSC offers Continuing Education courses in photography, from basic to advanced and such. See their course listing here: https://aceware.uvsc.edu/ShowSchedule.awp?~~GROUP~COMPHO~Photography~COM

Sadly it looks like I'll have to wait until at least next summer before I will be able to take any. I'm thinking I'll get myself a DSLR as a graduation present.
